I started out doing the all nite show on the weekends and was taken off the air when giving too much information during my Dating Reports ... students would call in and give a report of their dates ... nothing really bad was said but giving out the girls name certainly turned out to be a bad idea ... girls complained ... I had to go apologize to the Dean of Women (whose name I do not remember) and either Jim Camicia or Bob Ridle was forced to take me off the air for awhile ... Upon returning after a quarter of absence I worked my up to afternoon drive time and became famous for starting a singalong during homecoming weekend of '69 of "Hey Baby" by Swinging Medallions ... at around 4 or 5 o'clock p.m. all students in their dorm hung out their windows and sang along with Woovit ... it was quite a thing ... Woovit was still in the old publication building off campus but you could still hear the campus singing ... they were the good old days.
Somewhere I have a tape of one of my shows and a picture of WUVT's Homecoming Parade Entry which consisted on my car and girls sitting on front and back fenders ... at the time I never saw the need to take pictures or make/record airchecks ... now I really wish I had them.
Thanks for your efforts in putting up alumni information ... I enjoyed surfing the pages and reflecting on the good times.
