The Gallery: Orientation Invitation

Gary Blau: "[Here's] a scan of the greeting card/invitation that I found on my dorm room door (Owens Hall, I think), during my orientation week. This card radically and directly changed my life. Because of it I went to visit the station when I had a couple hours to kill one day and walked into the AM studio while Duckie Drake was on the air. He was kind enough to let me stand and gawk at him for a good long time. When I saw that blessed ol' Gatesway II and those big funky knobs, something in my head snapped. I haven't been right since. Up until that time it never occurred to me that I'd ever have anything to do with radio broadcasting; I was just a passionate listener, DX freak, and ham type.
